VICTORVILLE--San Bernardino County’s ‘cold case’ investigators are back in action.

They arrested an attorney at his home in Chula Vista Wednesday on suspicion of shooting two people at Spring Valley Lake near Victorville 20-years ago.

Sheriff’s detectives say a child custody issue motivated Eric Fagan, now 74, to kill Cathy Paternoster and wound her boyfriend at their home.

Fagan is a civil attorney. He has written several books including one on Internet dating.

Fagan is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. (INT)
