Benoit: Slump won't last, 'thrilling' opportunities ahead
RIVERSIDE--County supervisors are back up to full strength for the first time since last August.

Former state senator John Benoit took the oath of office filling the seat left vacant by the resignation and death of desert supervisor Roy Wilson.

In his opening remarks, Supervisor Benoit said the county’s bad economic times won’t last.

“There are thrilling opportunities. We’re in a slump, but there have been many. But, going forward, there’s going to be prosperity, growth and an opportunity to make sure we do it effectively.”

Benoit will serve the remainder of Roy Wilson’s term through next year. (INT)
