Electric car plant sets spring opening
MORENO VALLEY--City officials are eagerly awaiting the opening of an electric car assembly and sales plant.

A South Korean outfit will utilize a vacant 49,000 square foot building on Goldencrest Drive.

MoVal’s Economic Development Director Barry Foster says the plant will do two things.

“It will produce jobs ands green technology.”

The firm known as MVP-EV, Inc. expects to produce about 5,000 electric vehicle in 2011 and double that the following year.

The company may be operational as early as April with 40 employees. (INT)
