Two survive desert plane crash
JOSHUA TREE--A student pilot and a flight instructor were pulled alive early Tuesday from their crashed plane in the Joshua Tree National Park.

Riverside County Fire Captain Jeremy Snyder said the plane was located Monday night in a remote mountainous area of the park.

“It went down near Keys View Camp in the Joshua Tree National Park north of Interstate 10."

The two survivors were airlifted to safety and taken in stable condition to the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.

The Cessna 172 had taken off from the Joshua Tree airport enroute to Palm Springs Monday when it hit high winds and crashed. (INT)
