2010 Census begins, questions limited
INLAND EMPIRE--Forms for the 2010 Census are arriving in mailboxes across the Inland region.

The Census Bureau has prepped for the past year hiring Census takers, printing the questionnaires and urging household participation.

Only ten questions are being asked. Answers are protected by law and cannot be shared with anyone.

The results determine the distribution of $400 billion in federal funds to local communities and will shape Congressional reapportionment.

Ten years ago, about 72 percent of all households mailed back their census forms. The participation rate for the Inland Empire was even less. (INT)
