DA mulls charges against retired veteran cop
REDLANDS – Retired Redlands police Lt. Bill Cranfill has posted bail in a child molestation case.

Cranfill was arrested last week at the University of Redlands where he was interim Director of Public Safety.

Sheriff’s investigators say Cranfill is accused of inappropriate contact with a female juvenile. The girl recently made the allegation, but her mother had no knowledge of the lewd acts that allegedly occurred in 2008.

Cranfill, 55, retired last year after more than 30-years of service with the Redlands PD.

The University of Redlands says Cranfill is on paid administrative leave. (INT)
