Heat outdoes itself, but relief predicted
INLAND EMPIRE – Those wilted by the year’s biggest heat wave will welcome the 5-day forecast.

It’s gonna get as dramatically cooler as it suddenly heated up.

Riverside weatherman Matt Shameson says there’s hope for the weekend.

“We’re expecting to cool down by 20 to 30 degrees.”

Clouds did little to keep Wednesday’s temperatures from reaching their hottest marks of the year.

Lake Elsinore 111
Ontario 108
Temecula 105

We can thank another of those West Coast troughs for the impending cool down. Shameson says those could set the stage for an early autumn.

"Near to below normal temperatures are possible for September.”

But, it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature. Last September was the warmest of the year. (INT)
