ONTARIO – An accused pedophile priest is jailed on $1 million bail.

Father Jose Castillo, known as ‘Father Alex’ at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, was arrested Monday at the culmination of a 3-month investigation.

Prosecutors allege that Castillo, 57, committed eight acts of inappropriate sex on a 12-year-old boy.

Another boy was also victimized, but the statute of limitations precluded additional charges being filed. And, another incident involving a 14-year-old boy is being investigated in addition to alleged incidents at other parishes.

Father Castillo has served for seven years at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. (INT)
