Motorist killed in Riverside police chase identified
RIVERSIDE – A police chase through the streets of Riverside had deadly consequences.

Officers were pursuing a car whose occupants were suspected of shooting at a closed business on North Orange Street late Thursday night.

The fleeing driver, Armando Larios-Ramirez, failed to negotiate a curve on East La Cadena Drive. His car overturned and crashed into a pole supporting a Caltrans camera on the shoulder of the I-215 freeway.

Larios-Ramirez, 24, was killed, but his two passengers survived.

A discarded gun involved in the shooting was recovered. (INT)
