INLAND EMPIRE--Thursday is ‘Dump the Pump Day’.

Public transportation agencies throughout the Inland Empire and the nation are urging commuters to leave their cars at home and try buses and trains.

Free ride coupons are being accepted on Omnitrans buses throughout the San Bernardino Valley. The Riverside Transit Agency is out with special incentives. There are Orange County commuter videos on YouTube.

It’s estimated that households with two workers and one car can save $6,200 a year by using public transit.
