Long-time county official seeks City Attorney post SAN BERNARDINO – Former county supervisor David McKenna wants to restore integrity to the job of City Attorney.
McKenna formally announced his candidacy Wednesday to oppose longtime incumbent Jim Penman in the November election. McKenna said he would define the role of the City Attorney. “And, it doesn’t include the way Jim Penman has conducted the office around policy and confrontations over policy.” McKenna, 66, is a Colton native who recently took up residency in San Bernardino. He was the county’s public defender for 16 years and works for a Riverside law firm. (INT) Story Date: July 1, 2011
