Trains claim third fatality
INLAND EMPIRE – A third person has died on the railroad tracks of San Bernardino County.

15-year-old Ricardo Lizarraga, was riding his bicycle along Sierra Avenue in Fontana Thursday evening. Witnesses say the warning lights were flashing and the gates lowered when he rode into the path of an oncoming Metrolink train. The Fontana boy was listening to music with his earbuds and may not have been aware of the approaching train.

Earlier, two people struck and killed by trains were identified. The coroner says that Dora Sanchez, 35, died on the Union Pacific tracks in Ontario. Near the desert outpost of Kelso, Vernon Sholes, 37, of Lebanon, Oregon was found dead. (INT)
