Poll: More stuggle to make ends meet LOS ANGELES – A new statewide survey underscores the economic concerns of Baby Boomers and those approaching middle-age.
The poll of 1490 voters over the age of 40 found 48 percent with household incomes dropping over the past year. Half said they had to withdraw money from their savings to meet expenses. Four in ten cut down on the amount they spend for food. Two-thirds worry about being able to afford long-term health care. The poll was underwritten by the SCAN Foundation and the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. (INT) Story Date: August 26, 2011
