Metrolink urges vigilance among passengers
LOS ANGELES-- As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, Metrolink is enhancing security efforts, such as increasing random baggage checks and law enforcement presence onboard Metrolink trains and at stations. While there is no credible intelligence that terrorists are plotting attacks against Metrolink, we remain at a heightened state of vigilance.

"Ten years after the devastating attacks on our great country, terrorism is still a threat. Metrolink remains vigilant in our efforts to protect the safety of our passengers and employees," said Metrolink Board Vice Chair and San Bernardino Mayor Patrick Morris.

Security is a shared responsibility, and everyone plays an important role in keeping our trains and communities safe and secure. As part of the Department of Homeland Security's "If you See Something, Say Something" campaign, Metrolink is asking employees, passengers and the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement agencies.
