Rainstorm sets record; Yosemite ranger killed
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK – The weekend storm left its mark on the Central Valley.
It dumped much-welcome rain while setting a record in Fresno. But, it also took the life of a Yosemite National Park.
Ryan Hiller, 27, was in a tent cabin at the Yosemite Valley stable complex when high winds knocked a huge tree branch onto his tent Hiller was killed instantly.
Hiller was working at the park as a concessionaire and had been a park ranger for several seasons. He was living in the tent cabin while waiting for ski season. (Source: Fresno Bee)
