Freeway 91 project to take 3 1/2 years
RIVERSIDE – The green flag is about to drop on another major freeway improvement.

VIP’s lined up for Friday’s groundbreaking for the Route 91 expansion. HOV lanes will be added between Adams Street and the 60-91-215 interchange.

Thirteen bridges and undercrossings will be widened.

Caltrans’ Shelli Lombardo says the project marks a milestone for Route 91.

“It’s going to complete the carpool lanes the entire length of Route 91 from Los Angeles County to the 60-91-215 interchange where the 91 terminates.”

The $232 million project will take 3˝ years to complete. (INT)
