SAN BERNARDINO – The FBI is accusing a former middle school teacher of exchanging sexually explicit photos online with a 13-year-old girl in New Jersey.

Eugene Ballantyne, 29, was arrested Tuesday several days after a search of his home at Running Springs.

Ballantyne admitted communicating with the girl and another juvenile he met online two years ago. And, he admitted traveling 180 miles to have sex with yet another underage girl.

An investigation began when the parents of the New Jersey girl called police.

The FBI said there’s no evidence to suggest Ballantyne had illegal contact with children at the San Bernardino school where he’d taught.

Ballantyne is scheduled to be arraigned April 4th in federal court. (INT)
