MURRIETA – (INT) – A Hemet High School English teacher has admitted having an affair with a student she seduced.

Janel Ramirez, 31, pleaded guilty her arraignment Thursday at the Southwest Justice Center to three counts of unlawful intercourse and oral copulation.

She was arrested two months ago after the 17-year-old student disclosed the affair. The boy had worked for two years as a teacher’s aide.

The incidents occurred in her classroom behind locked doors.

Ramirez is married with two children and had taught at the school for 5-years.

She was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 5-years' probation.
