Purchasing managers divided on local economy
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Assessing the current state of the local economy depends on who you talk with.

More purchasing managers predict a stronger economy the last quarter of the year. Twentynine-percent see it getting weaker.

Todd Walton at Walton Fabrications in Upland is among the majority thinking there’ll be no change.

“I don’t see us continuing on the path we’re on now and don’t see any improvement. It’s becoming a continuing weight dragging business owners down.”

The Institute of Applied Research at Cal State-San Bernardino continues to report a slow expansion of the Inland Empire’s economy.
