RIVERSIDE – (INT) - Riverside will be getting its first new mayor in 20 years after incumbent Ron Loveridge opted for retirement.

More than a half-million-dollars was spent by Rusty Bailey and his opponent Ed Adkison, but Mayor-elect Bailey commented “I’m proud of the money we raised and how we spent it. I think I raised just as much or more just for a City Council ward election 5-years ago.”

Bailey is in his first term on the City Council.

Mayors were selected in nine other local cities in Tuesday’s election.

Scott Mann is Menifee’s mayor. Daryl Busch was unopposed in Perris. It’s Chip Yarborough in Cathedral City, Don Adolph in La Quinta and Eduardo Garcia, Jr. in Coachella.

Deborah Robertson is the mayor-elect in Rialto. Incumbent Dennis Yates was returned to office in Chino, Ray Musser in Upland and Julie Hackbarth-McIntyre was unopposed in Barstow.
