Speeding factors into crash of preacher's son
RIVERSIDE--Christopher Laurie’s driving record may provide some clues into the cause of last week’s crash that killed the eldest son of Riverside Harvest Christian Fellowship pastor Greg Laurie.

A Highway Patrol report said Christopher was driving at a ‘high rate of speed’ when his car slammed into a Caltrans sweeper train on the Riverside Freeway at the west end of Corona. A special accident investigation team is not expected to complete its report for several weeks.

Over the last six-years, he had accumulated 18 traffic citations, including seven speeding tickets.

Christopher was the Art Director for his father’s church.

More than 12,000 messages of condolences have been posted on the church’s website.
