Business: 2nd Quarter opens on bright side
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The Second Quarter of the year is opening on the bright side.

The Purchasing Manager’s Index has put a positive spin on three consecutive months of growth.

Roy Paulson of Paulson Manufacturing in Temecula is among the 86 percent of the purchasing managers surveyed who see the local economy expanding or at least slowly growing this quarter.

“Everyone is responding with positive news about increases in sales, expanding their facilities and hiring more people. We have been working on this very hard since the recession ended.”

The survey by the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino found four key indicators growing. Those included production, new orders, employment and exports.
