INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Another measure of the region's economy is looking good.

The Purchasing Manager's Index has been in positive territory for four consecutive months. New Orders have taken a sharp drop, but employment remains strong.

Half of the local purchasing managers surveyed by the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino believe the economy will remain the same during the summer quarter. The remainder are split between a stronger and a weaker economy.
