215 Freeway reopens after truck crash
PERRIS – (INT) – Freeway travel through this city has returned to normal.

A wide-load truck crashed into the construction rigging at the ‘D’ Street overcrossing on Route 215 Tuesday. That forced the closure of the southbound lanes.

Caltrans says the wooden falsework is being rebuilt.

The California Highway Patrol said the truck driver, Misael Martin Marrero, 52, of Fontana failed to follow instructions on the load permit to exit on Nuevo Rd.

The bridge is being rebuilt to accommodate widening of the 215 freeway between Perris and Menifee.
