Perris Metrolink extension on track PERRIS – (INT) – The Metrolink extension between Riverside and Perris is on track now that legal and environmental issues have been resolved.
Spokesman John Standiford at the Riverside County Transportation Commission is awaiting final approval of a grant from the Federal Transit Administration. “We intend to start construction by early November. The entire project should be open for business in early 2015.” The extension calls for two stations in Perris, another at March Air Reserve Base and a fourth at Hunter Park in Riverside. The $237 million cost includes improving existing track and building double-track through the Meridian Business Park. Story Date: August 16, 2013
