Alleged killer of boys home director arrested REDLANDS – (INT) – There’s been an arrest in one of Redlands’ oldest unsolved murder cases.
Jimmy Morrison, now, 63, has long been a ‘person of interest’ in the 1988 slaying of Catherine Dade. San Bernardino County prosecutors issued a murder warrant last month resulting in Morrison’s arrest Monday at his home in Pima County, Arizona. Dade had been directing the Guadalupe Boys Home in Yucaipa when she was found dead in her Redlands’ home. Morrison was the assistant director. Redlands detectives reopened their investigation eight years ago and developed enough evidence to warrant the murder charges. Morrison is held in lieu of $1 million bail pending his extradition to California. Story Date: September 15, 2013
