LOS ANGELES – (INT) – Radio legend Casey Kasem is reported near death suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

Kasem’s radio career hit the big time in Los Angeles at the original KRLA. But, he’s best known for his American Top 40 that was carried by more than 500 stations during the peak of its 39 year run.

Kasem is now 81, hospitalized and bedridden in the Los Angeles area. But his memorable sign-off reflects his long-standing advice.

“Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.”
