Heat wave to displace May gray
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – The onset of a pre-summer heat wave is being delayed until later this week.

Forecaster Rob Krohn in Riverside says temperatures are starting their climb, but the real heat comes later.

“Tuesday through, at least, next Friday temperatures will be much warmer with highs reaching the 90’s to near 100 at the lower elevations of the foothills and in the valleys.”

Even the beaches will share the heat.

“Cooler weather may return for the following weekend,” Krohn predicts.

If it’s any consolation, the winds will not be as fierce as those that spawned the last heat wave.
