SOUTHLAND - (INT) – It’s Holy Week – the most solemn time of the year for Christians.

The 40 days of Lent winds down with the Last Supper and the Crucifixion of Christ on Good Friday. The promise of Easter and His Resurrection on Sunday sets off a time of celebration.

For those of the Jewish faith, it’s Passover. It commemorates the deliverance of Israelite slaves from bondage in Egypt, a celebration of freedom from human oppression.

Special services are planned at churches and synagogues throughout Southern California.
