Rizzo: “I breached the public’s confidence by starting to look at myself rather than the community
LOS ANGELES – (INT) – For the first time, Robert Rizzo – the former city administrator of Bell – speaks out.

“I will never do anything like this again. I won’t have an opportunity again.”

With that, Rizzo was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison for the public corruption and the excessive salary he took in the small Los Angeles County city.

“I breached the public’s confidence by starting to look at myself rather than the community. I am very, very sorry for that.”

Rizzo was also ordered to pay $8,845,000 in restitution to the city of Bell.
