Good Friday forerunner to Easter celebrations RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Worshippers will make their annual pilgrimage up Mt. Rubidoux for Sunday’s Easter sunrise service.
It’s the 105th annual ecumenical service – the longest-running outdoor event of its kind. It starts at 6am. Hundreds of worshippers will take the 45 minute climb. Parking is available at the Bonaminio Park. Another Easter service nearly as old is the 87th annual Ramona Bowl event at Hemet. Churches across the Inland Empire are marking the resurrection of Christ and the climax of Holy Week, the most sacred time for Christians. Story Date: April 20, 2014
