YUCAIPA – (INT) – A Yucaipa High School Spanish teacher faces arraignment Tuesday in a sex abuse case involving a student.

Sheila Heacock, 44, was arrested after a 16-year-old student alleged he was the victim of sexual abuse. It began early this year and continued for two months.

Ms. Heacock is an 18-year employee of the Yucaipa-Calimesa Unified School District. She is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
