Teen named in savage beating captured
HEMET – (INT) – A 14-year-old boy has been implicated in the brutal beating of an elderly woman during a burglary at her home last week.

Police usually withhold names and photographs of juveniles. But, they say that the savage nature of the crime and protecting the public takes precedent.

Named in a ‘no bail’ felony arrest warrant is Raymond Michael Miranda. He was captured Thursday night at a motel in Temecula. Police said he was tracked to the motel and arrested at 6:30pm.

Miranda had been described as a transient in the Hemet-San Jacinto area.

Another teenage boy who participated in the crime was arrested and remains at juvenile hall.
