San Bernardino's Justice Center dedicated
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A portion of downtown is taking on a new look.

The 11-story Justice Center on West Third Street was dedicated Thursday.

With closures of smaller courts throughout the county, Presiding Judge Marsha Slough says completion of the Justice Center couldn’t have come soon enough.

“It truly is and has been a bright light in an otherwise very, very dark time for our court.”

Deputy Court Executive Officer Alan Crouse said “It’s designed with the latest security measures to accommodate the kind of criminal case loads that we’ve been working through.”

The $300 million Justice Center occupies a 7-acre site donated by the city directly across from the historic county courthouse.
