Alarming increase in deadly motorcycle accidents
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) - Fatalities stemming from motorcycle accidents are on the rise.

At least five motorcyclists were killed the first 10 days of the month across the Inland Empire. The victims included an off-duty San Bernardino police officer.

Statistics have been increasing since 2011.

The most recent data reveals that primary causes of motorcycle-involved crashes are speeding, unsafe turning and impairment due to alcohol and other drugs. So-called ‘lane splitting’ also figures in many freeway mishaps.
