SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – City Attorney Gary Saenz is proposing an offensive against two issues perpetuating gang-related crime – slumlord housing and illegal marijuana dispensaries.

Saenz contends that gang-sponsored pot shops are opening weekly and are catering to drug trafficking and other gang-related activity. The revenue generated in these facilities is funding further gang activity in the city.

Saenz said that as of August 18th illegal pot shops will be outlawed in San Bernardino. He says the dispensaries have become an obstacle to building a prosperous city.
