Gas refiners give motorists a break
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Average gasoline prices have finally eclipsed the $4 a gallon mark in most of Southern California.

Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg in Camarillo says the usual culprit in keeping prices high was not the primary factor for the decrease.

“It’s a bit ironic because crude oil did not give us the drop. In fact, it went up. It is US refiners cutting prices like crazy as they chase sales.”

Pump prices have been trimmed 15-cents the past 4-weeks and are now below a year ago.
