Rents rise 5% the past 12 months
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – As the local economy gets back on track, apartment rents are surging higher.

The average the 2nd quarter of the year was $1,182 for the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario area. That was a 5 percent increase over a year ago.

RealAnswers reports more affordable rents in Fresno, Bakersfield and Sacramento.

California’s most expensive areas included Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and a state high of $2,321 a month in San Jose, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara.
