MURRIETA - (INT) - An Orange County man made his first court appearance Tuesday on charges of killing his parents in their mobile home at Hemet.

David Underwood’s arraignment on two counts of murder was postponed until later this month.

Investigators apprehended David Underwood within nine hours of last Thursday’s shootings. Underwood, 42, of Yorba Linda, was arrested in Anaheim and held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Police Chief Dave Brown told a town hall meeting that Underwood is the only suspect in the incident of domestic violence.

Found dead in their mobile home at the Hemet West Mobile Estates were Michael Underwood, 71, and his wife, Laura, age 68.
