Pomona Freeway motorists cry over spilled milk
SOUTH EL MONTE – (INT) – Investigators are sorting out details of a horrific crash involving more than a dozen cars and trucks that shut down the Pomona Freeway for several hours Thursday.

The CHP’s Edgar Figueroa said it started when an eastbound milk tanker abruptly slowed.

“Traffic had been backed up at Santa Anita Avenue. The trucker collided with several vehicles and overturned on the center divider”.

At least two vehicles burned. A dozen people were hurt. A 5-year-old girl died later Thursday.

It took a few hours to mop up the milk that was spilled across several lanes of traffic.
