Reservoirs reflect drought's impact
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Reservoirs across California continue to dwindle as the drought drags on.

Here in the Inland Empire, the Diamond Valley reservoir near Hemet is down to 64 percent of capacity.

Alex Tardy at the National Weather Service says things are worse in San Diego County.

“Local storage is only 39 percent of capacity.”

A few summer storms have dropped rain, but their impact has been minimal.

A predicted El Nino this winter could improve reservoir storage, but forecasters say it won’t be a drought-buster.
