Thefts lead San Bernardino crime decline SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The city’s latest crime stats are a mixed bag.
A drop in property crimes led a marginal decline the first-half of the year. But, violent crime rose nearly 13 percent. Assaults and rapes rose by double digits. There were 25 homicides for a 9 percent increase. Burglaries and vehicle thefts showed the biggest declines. There were 5613 crimes the first six months of the year.
