Thefts lead San Bernardino crime decline
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The city’s latest crime stats are a mixed bag.

A drop in property crimes led a marginal decline the first-half of the year. But, violent crime rose nearly 13 percent.

Assaults and rapes rose by double digits. There were 25 homicides for a 9 percent increase.

Burglaries and vehicle thefts showed the biggest declines.

There were 5613 crimes the first six months of the year.

The last time crime rose in San Bernardino was in 2012.
