FONTANA – (INT) – Police have slapped another advisory on the Hunters Ridge area after a mountain lion snatched a 15-pound dog over the weekend.

Sightings of the same mountain lion have been reported in recent months. Authorities have been unable to capture it.

In the latest incident, the animal crept into backyards along Foxborough Drive under the cover of darkness leaving behind paw prints and a small trail of blood and vanished into a canyon.

Residents should be cautious and pets kept inside.
