El Nino on track for this winter
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – A developing El Nino is still on target.

Climatologist Alex Tardy at the National Weather Service says it can change the jet stream with a persistent flow that tends to move across Southern California bringing more storms when the atmosphere and the ocean work in unison.”

September through November weather is predicted to be wetter and warmer than usual. There’s a 40 percent chance of above normal precipitation this winter.

Forecasters say the incoming El Nino will be moderate at best and not a drought-buster.
