Triple digit heat eases, September opens on dry side
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - The Labor Day holiday finished up on the dry, toasty side as September debuts. The inland heat should back down a few more degrees by Wednesday as the marine layer reforms and deepens.

Weatherman Rob Krohn in Riverside predicts slight day-to-day cooling as September gains a foothold.

“Gusty winds are expected in the late afternoons becoming strongest in the foothills bordering the deserts.”

Overnight low clouds will return to the coast and spreading further inland. Temperatures could drop below normal next week.

With the monsoon moisture remaining in Mexico, there is no rain in the forecast.

A string of three triple digit days in the Metro area ended Sunday.
