Field Poll: President's approval rating plummets
SAN FRANCISCO – (INT) – President Obama is falling out of favor with California voters.

A California Field Poll issued Tuesday showed his approval rating has dropped to 45 percent, the lowest of his Presidency. At the beginning of his second term, it was 62 percent.

Californians have been solidly behind Mr. Obama ever since he took office and was frequently invited here for Democratic fund-raisers.

The survey taken last week also found that a majority of voters in this state continue to have a negative view of the overall direction of the country. Fifty-one percent of California voters believe the U.S. is seriously off on the wrong track.
