Foreclosures linger after housing crisis SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Updating the monthly home foreclosure situation, the Riverside-San Bernardino area was fourth highest among the nation’s largest metropolitan areas during August.
RealtyTrac’s Daren Blomquist says higher foreclosures go beyond the Inland Empire. “We haven’t seen the numbers return to normal in California. It’s still higher than normal. We think there are still some lingering foreclosures that are left over from the housing crisis.” California’s foreclosure rate is much improved compared to a year ago, but was still 13th highest.
