Congress not making points with voters
SAN FRANCISCO – (INT) – A California Field Poll released over the weekend confirms the very dismal view that voters have had of the job performance of Congress for the last few years.

The nearly six-to-one negative appraisal is similar to previous Field Poll measures of congressional performance dating back to early 2010. Negative perceptions of Congress cross party lines.

On a local level, voters also hold a more negative than positive opinion of the job performance of their own Congressional representative.

When likely voters were asked which party’s candidate they would likely support in the upcoming November election for Congress, 46% are choosing the Democrat, while 38% intend to support the Republican. Another 16% are undecided.
