Mother Nature's cooling hand settles on Southern California
SOUTHLAND - (INT) - Mother Nature will jump onto her weather see-saw as summer fades into autumn. A cooling marine layer has replaced this week’s intense heat wave.

Forecaster Rob Krohn in Riverside says we should not become complacent.

“Temperatures should remain normal over the weekend but long-range models indicate a large ridge of high pressure may bring hot weather back to the area next week.”

Another feature worth watching on the distant horizon is Tropical Storm Polo which could take a path northwestward off the Mexican coast. It should miss Cabo San Lucas which is recovering from Hurricane Odile.
