Exit exam passage rates improve SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) - San Bernardino County high school sophomores passed the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) at record rates after taking the exam for the first time during the 2013-14 academic year.
Data released Friday by the California Department of Education showed math passage rates rose to 83 percent for just under 31,000 sophomores who took the test. English language arts passage rates stayed at 81 percent. The exit exam is a state requirement to graduate from high school. For the graduating class of 2015, an estimated 91 percent of the county’s juniors have passed the math portion of the test, while an estimated 87 percent of juniors countywide have passed the English language arts part.
